Meet Mirelle your Personal Organizer
Hello!
My name is Mirelle Amaral, and I am a certified professional organizer.
I’ve always had a natural inclination for organization, and over the years, I’ve realized how this skill has helped me overcome many challenges. I discovered that this ability to bring order and structure can transform lives—helping families organize their homes, freeing up more time to spend with their children, and even saving money when it comes to shopping.
I am Brazilian, married, and a mother, and for the past nine years, I’ve lived on the beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard in the United States. Today, I want to share my story with you.
From as far back as I can remember, I’ve always been detail-oriented, with a clear sense that everything has its place. You might think this came from my upbringing; that my mother instilled in me a need to be organized. But, in fact, it’s quite the opposite—my mother was not an organized person. I vividly remember a room in our house with two single beds, one of which was always piled with clothes fresh from the line, not folded, just tossed there. It used to drive me crazy. I couldn’t understand how that was possible, so I started sorting and folding my clothes, keeping my wardrobe organized, unlike the rest of the house.
You might wonder, ‘Didn’t your house have closets?’ – It did, but they were filled with bags and clutter—everything except the clothes we wore. This mess and disorder were confusing to me, and I always told myself that when I got married and had my own home, it would be different. And it was. From the moment I got married, I made sure my home was organized, keeping only what I really needed and used. For instance, I’ve always hated waking up to dirty dishes in the sink, so I adopted the habit of ensuring the kitchen is clean every night. This brings a sense of peace in the morning. Since then, my home has been grounded in the principles of organization.
Living here in the U.S. is can be hectic when looking after children, work, grocery shopping, school drop-offs, extracurricular activities are some of our daily commitments.
What keeps me grounded is having an orderly and organized home. While working in house cleaning, I often found myself arranging things, refolding towels to make them uniform, and ensuring everything was in its place. It was then that I realized I could turn this ‘quirk’ into a profession and help others create a cozy, healthy, and enjoyable home.
And so, Mirelle Organizer was born. I began studying and discovering various methods to keep a home organized, finding the best approach that suits your lifestyle. Together, we can create a system that works for you and brings harmony to your home.
Flying a Plane and Organizing a Home
Piloting a plane and being a personal organizer both require meticulous planning, adaptability, and effective communication. Each profession involves creating detailed strategies, making quick adjustments, and focusing on client needs and safety. Despite their different contexts, both demand a high level of responsibility and precision.
During the flight, a pilot must continuously monitor the surroundings, make quick decisions, and adjust the course to ensure a safe and efficient journey. Similarly, as a personal organizer, I must adapt my strategies to interact with the physical space and my client’s preferences, ensuring the final result is not only organized but also functional and tailored to your specific needs.
